Australia’s food recalls hit record highs in 2020

The 26th Australian Total Diet Study results are good news for Australians

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) recently released its findings from the 26th Australian Total Diet Study (ATDS) with some good results for Australians. 

The ATDS is run every few years and is one of the most comprehensive food surveys in the country. FZANZ took over the running of the study from the National Health and Medical Research Council in 2001, and it has now been going for 50 years. Over this period, the study has evolved from assessing more traditional concerns such as pesticide residues and expanded to a range of other substances.
