The day has finally come BRCGS issue 9 has been released !!!!!
There are changes (of course) to food safety culture, food defence, outsourced processing, equipment installation (lots), and a new section on animal processing. And as expected a mandatory unannounced audit every 3 years.
Furthermore, it is a requirement that all sites undergoing a BRCGS audit to Issue 9 have access to an official copy of this Standard.
Issue 9 was published on 1 August 2022. Certification against Issue 9 will commence in audits from 1 February 2023.
